Red Bean Flaky Mooncake & 中秋节

中秋节快乐 - happy mid-autum festival for all who celebrate it!!! (it is late, this should be yesterday's entry)
Here is my first mooncake ever, everyone posted their best and cute variation of mooncakes, and this is the best i can do(look at my terrible shaping skill hahaa...). Thanks to aunt Yo again for the recipe.
I am so tempted to make those beautiful mooncakes too, but dunno where to get the ingredients. Poor me...
We (and no one in Taiwan, i guess) don't light up those beautiful lantern and BBQ on the rooftop like last years, due to terrible typhoon and pouring rain outside. A girl was blown away by the typhoon, while another 2 or 3 cars fell down into the river while they drive over the bridge and the bridge collapsed. Till now, nobody knows their fate. Feels so sorry to them and all the typhoon's victims.

Marble Cake

For the umpteenth times, typhoon swept through the city. Watch the evening news, there was a girl blown away by the typhoon from her 3rd floor apartment. Terrible isn't it?
I and friends planning for hiking this weekend, but the weather just wouldn't compromise heheee. So instead of wandering around in the danger, i'd better stay at home and doing some baking.
Most of my cakes are round and bored looks, it is because i only have 2 kind of round baking pan, and i know nothing about cake decorating(well....i have a lot of cake decorating tools, but no idea how to use it hahaaa...) i should take the decorating classes someday...
Got this recipe from the back of self raising flour package that i bought few days ago. It is soft and not too sweet according to my taste.

Ingredients:
200 g self raising flour
230 g butter
200 g castor sugar
230 g eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
30 g cocoa powder
50 ml milk

-Cream butter with self raising flour into smooth paste. In separate bowl, beat egg and sugar until spongy add egg mixture to the butter mixture, add in vanilla essence and beat until smooth.
Divide the batter into 2. Add milk and cocoa powder to one portion, leave the other one plain. Scoop the batter alternately to the lined baking pan and bake at 180 for 50 mins.

Heat 1 tbsp oil, saute all the ingredients till fragrant, add chicken and coat with the spices, let it stand for 2 minutes on both side, add a cup of water and cover the pan. Burn yet "tempting" Oreo Cheesecake

Actually it is not burn but "only" cracked, yeah....only cracked not a big mistake. The instruction said, do not bake till it crack but u see...it really cracked.
I was so tired ....after i put my cake into the oven i went to my room and lie down, fallen asleep and wake up 3 HOURS LATER!!! Hurriedly to the kitchen and found out my cake already done and CRACKED.
No regret after all, a friend's son addicted to it and calling me twice a day whether i bake the cake again.
